So Far So Summer

So Far So Summer

We are smack dab in the middle of summer and it's been such a doozy. Ben and I have been going on plenty of adventures and settling into our new home has been a treat. Moka is doing very well, she loves how many walks we take her on now. Peanut is a changed cat. She is incredibly social all of a sudden and hasn't stopped surprising us with her decision to come out and let people pet her! We are all doing well over here at Casa Sanchez and we are excited to be able to give a fun update on what we've been up to this past month.

This season we are observing these intentions
• Love yourself and others abundantly

• Exert influence and release control

• You deserve more than you can imagine

We have so much to be grateful for. We feel we are living in a state of weightlessness, release, and embodiment all at one time.

  • Earlier in June Ben and I got to spend some time with my Dad, Madison, and Neveah up at Samuel Springs in Lake Berryessa!

  • It's a fun little ride on a side-by-side through our easement. My dad drove Ben and I while Madison drove herself and Neveah.

  • It is literally just a dirt road my dad helped create. This pic really shows the dryness of California, but there is SO much life it's just all different colors.

  • This is the kind of view you also get when you're driving to Samuel Springs. The lake was so full and so beautiful I couldn't believe Berressa could look like this.

  • As you are driving through you can really see the effect the fires had in this area. So much was burnt down, and SO much has grown back too.

  • Welcome to Samuel Springs! Once a place for people to relax, abandon for many years, but enjoyed by many.

  • The still active spring delivers iron rich water that can... cure a rattle snake bite?? (long story, but we don't recommend drinking this water unless you like the strong concentrated flavor of iron.)

  • Of course it wouldn't be a Samuel's trip if we didn't spend some time in the water too! Berryessa is such a beautiful place, and I remember when this exact stretch of land was completely dry. It is so comforting seeing this place filled with so much more life.

  • Yes it get's hot here!!! 106 in the shade but it feels so enchanting with the slight breeze, a good sandwich, and lot's of water.

  • We did so much just this trip alone and it was all in just a day! by the end we returned home. Of course Moka would have loved it but I think the fleas and tics would have loved her more.
